Stroud Bowl Parking
There is convenient parking because the Bowling Centre which is situated on the top floor of a multi-storey cark park (Merrywalks Shopping Centre) operated by Stroud District Council.
Car park tickets presented at Reception can be validated – making parking only £2 for the duration of your stay at the Bowling Centre.
Merrywalks Shopping Centre Information and Facilities
The Merrywalks Centre serves as Stroud’s principal covered shopping and leisure complex. Positioned conveniently adjacent to King Street, one of Stroud’s main retail thoroughfares, the scheme incorporates a variety of facilities for the benefit of customers, tenants and staff as follows:
Multi-storey Car Park
The Centre benefits from a multi-storey car park providing over 200 parking spaces incorporating disability parking. Access to the car park is gained via Bath Street.
The Merrywalks Centre multi-storey car park comprises 226 (includes Halfords 12) spaces including 6 disabled bays. Access to the car park is via Bath Street (Off Gloucester Street) close to the intersection of A46 (Merrywalks) to the West, B4070 to the East and A46 (Beeches Road) to the North.
The car park is operated for business Monday – Sunday, all hours, on a daily basis throughout the year with the exception of Christmas Day. The site is staffed on a daily basis by a Stroud District Council car parking attendant between the hours 7.00am to 5.30pm, supported by an off-site management team.
During periods outside of these staffed times, the site is remotely managed using intercom located at access barriers & ticket dispensers, pay stations and exit barrier.
The Merrywalks Centre car park has three pay on foot machines accepting debit/credit cards, notes and change located on the Merrywalks, Mall and Upper car park levels.

The main bus stop hub serving the regions bus routes is conveniently located on the A46 (Merrywalks) opposite to the Apollo Cinema.
A taxi rank is located within walking distance of the western end of King Street, on the corner of Rowcroft and George Street.
The centre benefits from 2, fifteen person passenger lifts which provide access between the various levels of the scheme.
Shopping Centre Toilets
Public toilets are located on the lower level of the Centre, close to the Customer Services Office. There are 3 male toilets and 3 female, together with disabled facilities which operate The National Key Scheme (RADAR) which offers independent access to disabled people to around 4,000 locked public toilets around the country.
Santander Bank provides and operates a cash point machine which is located on Bath Street. Stroud Bowl also offers a free of charge cash back service at reception.
Shopping Centre Management Office
The centre management suite is accessed via Bath Street at first floor level above O2. Here you will find the team who ensure the Centre runs smoothly. They are always on hand to answer your queries, complaints or concerns. They can give you information about the Centre, issue Radar Keys for using the disabled toilets and if you have any enquiries about lost property they will be happy to help.
