Monday 21st November 2011 brought the annual house championships at Stroud Bowl. This event takes place every year for all stroud bowl league members to have some competitive fun, this year was a great turnout with 25 entries with every league being represented.
Everyone bowled 3 games qualification before the finals began. the finals consisted of the top 4 bowlers without handicap and the top 4 with handicap, the standings were - Scratch 1.Hadley Morgan 2.Mark Patrick 3.Simon Bartram.

Monday and Wednesday night Christmas Party was held on the last night of the league before breaking up for the Christmas Holiday. Games played were 9 Pin Tap which was won by Andrew Davidson with a 279 2nd Kim Johnson with a 266 and 3rd Colin Wright with a 215. Low Game was next the winner being Gerald Allan with 68. The last game was red head pin and bottles were won by Barry Day and Andrew Davidson. League starts after the Christmas break Monday night league on the 4th January and Wednesday night league on the 6th January.
Stroud Bowl doubles league got off to a late start last Monday due to the thick fog conditions. Many of the high scoring bowlers from last week struggled with the more challenging lane pattern. Personal best scores were bowled by Barry Wright with 173 and Gerald Alan with a 178, Gerald beat his personal best by 22 pins (pictured). 200 plus games were bowled by Diane Johnson 209 and Kim Johnson 235.
Both Gerald and Doreen Alan and Diane Johnson were bowling for the first time with their new bowling balls, which can now be purchased at Stroud Bowl.
September 2008 will see the start of a new corporate bowling league at Stroud Bowl and will be open to all Stroud businesses in the form of trios, bowling for the Stroud Inter-Corporate Challenge Shield.
